New way to link your photos - Embedded links

Here is another way to share photos in your page. The embedded link is a javascript reference to a photo that generates HTML code inside your page. For example, this code:

has the following result:



The id is the photo ID as displayed in site.

Airline direct link is available

After registration and photographer direct links, we are proud to deliver airline direct link. You can find all pictures of a specific airline quick and easy. See the following example of Olympic Airlines and Aegean Airlines:

You have to replace spaces with underscore to avoid url space representation (%20) and broken links.

Predefined searches

A great way to increase usability is predefined searches. Predefined search is a search using specific criteria. In this page

www.airpics.gr/reg/G-MARA

you can see pictures of airplane with registration number G-MARA. Also, there are links on photographers' names. These links are predefined searches. Using one of these links, you search for photos of a specific photographer. The visitor doesn't need to complete any kind of form to submit and it's much easier to find relative photos.

A great way to spread your news to users is RSS. The first approach to RSS world is live and you can find it at:

In this feed you can find new photos.

There many ways to read RSS feed, either using a web browser which supports RSS feeds, or using an online service like iGoogle, or using a desktop application.

We have added a feature that allows you to link your pics on airpics.gr to other website or forums.

The Format is very simple, www.airpics.gr/photographer/ and your name with underscore in between.

e.g for Panayiotis Lekkas the link would be:

Also we are giving you the option to link the pics of a specific aircraft registration number on airpics.gr to other web sites or forums.

This time type, www.airpics.gr/reg/ and the registration number you wish.

e.g. for the reg No UR-82060 the link would be
